Request Account & Data Deletion

App Name: GN Data • Compliance: Google Play User Data Policy & Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023

At GN Data, we value your privacy and grant you full autonomy over your personal data. In accordance with the Google Play Store Account Deletion Policy and applicable data protection regulations, you can permanently delete your GN Data account and associated personal information at any time.

How to Request Account Deletion

You can initiate an account deletion request through either of the following methods:

1 Option A: In-App Request (Recommended)

If you have access to the GN Data Mobile App:

  1. Log in to your GN Data Mobile App.
  2. Navigate to the Profile tab (bottom right menu).
  3. Scroll down to the Settings & Support section.
  4. Tap on Contact Support and select Request Account Deletion.
  5. Confirm your request. Our support team will verify your identity and process the deletion.
2 Option B: Direct Email Deletion Request

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot log in, you can submit an email request from your registered email address:

  • Send an email to: support@gndata.com.ng
  • Subject Line: GN Data Account Deletion Request
  • Include: Your registered Full Name, Registered Email Address, and Phone Number.

What Data is Deleted vs. Retained

When your account deletion request is finalized, your data will be handled as follows:

Category Data Elements Action & Timeline
Identity & Credentials Full Name, Email address, Phone number, Password hash, 4-digit Transaction PIN hash. Permanently Purged within 30 days.
Device & Notifications Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device push notification tokens, active sessions. Permanently Purged immediately upon deletion.
Developer API Data API Secret keys, IP whitelists, webhook callback URLs. Permanently Revoked & Deleted within 30 days.
Financial & Utility Transaction Ledger Wallet ledger records, bill vending transaction logs, payment gateway reference IDs. Retained for 7 Years strictly for legal auditing and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) statutory compliance under Nigerian financial regulations.

Important Note Regarding Unspent Wallet Balances:
Please ensure you utilize any remaining prepaid balance in your GN Data wallet prior to submitting your deletion request. Once deleted, wallet balances cannot be restored.

Processing Timeline

Upon receiving and verifying your request, your account will be immediately deactivated to prevent any further access. All eligible personal data will be permanently wiped from our active databases within 30 days.
